The Burrito Bowl is an annual event held by Rio Wraps Mexican Grille to help raise money for the charity organization the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and it is also the biggest eating competition based out of the Detroit Metro area.

The Burrito Bowl is a month-long event, starting in January, that consists of 12 local burrito eating competitions dubbed appropriately "Prelim-A-Mini's", where challengers face off to see who can eat 3 of our Classic Mini Burritos the fastest. The winners of those contests move onward to challange last years champion and other lucky contestants who made it into the main Burrito Bowl Event round.

Each year at the Burrito Bowl, contestants battle each other’s hunger by trying to devour as many 1lb Burrito’s that they possibly can. The winner of the Burrito Bowl is who ever eats the most in the allotted time. That champion will of course be handsomely rewarded for his mighty hunger!

This year, Burrito Bowl II is going to have much more than just a fierce eating competition. There will also be FREE Food, Beer & Wine; Casino Gaming (Blackjack and Horserace betting) to earn chips which can be redeemed for raffle tickets to win some amazing prizes; and a live performance from local Detroit band Calling Marvin!
Entry will be limited to the first 400 patrons. There will be a $20 donation fee required at the door to be donated to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
